Remembering the Supremo

ANDRES BONIFACIO
, Founder of The Katipunan, was born to Santiago Bonifacio and Catalina de Castro, a Spanish mestiza, in Tondo, Manila on November 30, 1863 and died on May 10, 1897 at the age of 33. To remember the Supremo on his 145th birth anniversary is to rekindle in us his ideals - Liberty, Equality, and the Brotherhood of Men - a man of action, a great organizer, an indefatigable worker, and selfless Filipino who sacrificed his life to see his beloved Motherland freed from foreign domination.

i've written a musical play about Bonifacio, it's actually from 2 scripts that i've combined, a straight play and a "opereta". it's originally for the culminating performances of my 1992summer drama workshop production, and then i've mounted it again in 1997 for the Cavite Community Theatre.

I've learned so much about Bonifacio from my research. But until now, hindi pa rin talaga alam kung bakit at paano pinatay si Bonifacio. Noong panahon pa mang yan, ganun nang kasama ang hustisya sa Pilipinas.

CCT... wow! I remember those days when we went to Obando to compete with Joonie Gamboa's team with the absurd version of "Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio" Lol! Bring back the old days! On the other hand, I am actually working on a composition for my digital art collections, yung isa is about the Tragedy of Bonifacio, a mixture of details from articles by historians and writers, medyo nakatitindig balahibo ng konti yung visuals. I would love to hear some from you kasi knowing you have written some plays and know so much about the supremo, I think it would help me a lot!
